From owner request to panel review, in six steps

The workflow is built around one principle: the clinic keeps working exactly the way it already works. You lead the care; Tailmates handles the engagement, the ordering, and the payment. You do the medicine you were going to do anyway, plus a few minutes of review in the dashboard.

An owner requests your clinic
Leads inbox
When one of your clients taps “request your vet” in the app and names your clinic, the request lands in your dashboard as a lead. One tap converts it into an invited patient, with no cold intake and no paperwork.
Converting a lead creates an invited link only. Nothing clinical is implied until you review and attest the panel inside an established VCPR.

A panel order arrives on your worklist

The owner pays for their longevity panel in the app, and the order appears on your worklist with the patient's context attached: breed, age, activity history, and any prior panels.
The owner pays in the app before the order reaches your worklist, so no billing work lands on your front desk.

Run the draw and panel in-clinic, as normal
Your clinic
Nothing about your lab workflow changes. You schedule the visit, do the draw, and run the panel with your usual lab. You bill your own appointment and draw exactly as you always have; that billing is entirely yours, and we never touch it.
No proprietary hardware, no special panel. A standard chemistry panel and CBC report the markers the score reads.

Results land in your dashboard
Panel review
The lab report is ingested and every analyte is extracted into a review table, each value sitting next to the source report, with low-confidence extractions flagged for your attention.
You always see the source document. The extraction is a head start, never a substitute for your read.

Review, correct, and attest the panel, in minutes
Panel review
Tap any value the parser got wrong and type the correct one; your attested values override the extraction, every time. Then attest the values match the source report, confirm the VCPR, and submit. Most panels take a few minutes.
You can also add owner-facing notes and recommendations in the same sitting. They appear in the client's app alongside the score.

The owner gets a lab-verified score. You lead the care.
Panel review
Your review and attestation inside the VCPR is what unlocks the lab-verified score. The lab validates the data, Tailmates computes the analysis, and the badge your client sees is backed by your review of the panel. The app says so.
Reopen a panel later, apply new corrections, and re-attest. The score re-computes from your updated read.

Your attested values always win

Automated extraction reads the lab PDF so you don’t have to retype it, but it is a draft, not a verdict. When you correct a value, the corrected value is what the score is computed from, what the record keeps, and what the owner’s app shows. The system’s read never outranks yours.

What this asks of you, honestly

The draw and the panel are work you already do. The new part is the dashboard review: reading the extracted values against the source report, fixing what’s wrong, and attesting the values match the source report. For a clean panel that’s a few minutes; a messy scan with several corrections takes longer, and your corrections are exactly why the lab-verified score is worth something.
